About the Position: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant to support our Trusts & Estates department. The role offers the chance to work with both legal and financial professionals, contributing to our comprehensive 360° planning for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and financial advisors in the Trusts & Estates department.
  • Assist in the preparation, organization, and filing of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and other key legal instruments.
  • Handle client communications, scheduling, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and other key professional activities related to client engagement and estate planning services.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, legal documents, and memoranda.
  • Conduct basic legal research in relation to trusts, estates, and probate matters.
  • Support the financial and tax teams by organizing and processing client financial data and tax documents to support our 360° planning approach.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant or legal assistant, preferably within estate planning, trusts, or financial services.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
  • Familiarity with financial planning or tax services is a plus.
  • A client-focused mindset with a commitment to helping clients achieve their legal, financial, and tax planning goals.
