Tom Colitsas

Founding Partner & Accounting Advisor

It is with profound sadness that we honor the life and legacy of our founder and partner, Thomas Colitsas, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 78.

For more than 45 years, Tom was the driving force behind Thomas Colitsas and Associates, now Omni360 Advisors LLC. A true entrepreneur at heart, he built the firm from the ground up with vision, determination, and an unwavering commitment to his clients. He worked with pride and great joy until his final days, alongside his son and partner, Jimmy — a testament to both his dedication to the firm and his deep love of family.

At his core, Tom was a businessman and a builder of opportunity. He served clients across a wide range of industries and was especially regarded for his expertise in franchises and corporate workouts. Colleagues and professionals both within and outside the firm frequently sought his counsel in these areas, reflecting the respect he earned throughout his career.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom believed deeply in mentorship and in helping the next generation of entrepreneurs succeed. He took great satisfaction in guiding young business owners and “up-and-comers,” sharing his experience generously and investing in their growth.

Tom’s leadership extended far beyond the firm. He was a dedicated public servant and community advocate, serving as a New Jersey State Real Estate Commissioner from 1981 to 1989 and as President of the Board of Managers for the Mercer County Donnelly Hospital, a geriatric hospital serving the indigent, from 1979 to 1986. He also served as a New Jersey Legislative aide and held board positions with numerous organizations, including I.A.F.O., ARC, the Plainsboro Housing Authority, and DDIFO. He was an active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents.

While Tom’s professional achievements were significant, those who knew him best will remember him for his warmth, loyalty, and deep devotion to family. He loved sharing meals, hosting large holiday celebrations, traveling the world with loved ones, and making the occasional trip to New York City for theatre — even when the show happened to be a musical.

Tom’s legacy lives on in the firm he built, the clients he served, the professionals he mentored, and the family he cherished. His principles of integrity, hard work, and commitment to community remain at the heart of who we are.

We are profoundly grateful for the foundation he created and the example he set. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
